At Redwood Family Dermatology (RFD), we’ve been dedicated to delivering expert, compassionate care to Northern California communities for more than two decades. Founded in 2002 by Jeffrey Sugarman, MD, PhD, our practice began as a solo venture with a focus on pediatric dermatology. What started as a small clinic has grown into a trusted regional leader offering a full spectrum of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services for patients of all ages.
Over the years, we’ve expanded organically to meet the evolving needs of our patients. Today, our services include adult medical dermatology, pediatric medical dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, phototherapy, histopathology, injectables, laser treatments, and advanced skin rejuvenation procedures. With a strong foundation in clinical excellence, our mission has remained the same: to provide the highest quality dermatological care in a warm, respectful and patient-centered environment.

Santa Rosa – Mendocino Avenue (Main office)
Our flagship location offers comprehensive skin care — from clinical treatment to cosmetic enhancement — with cutting-edge technology and a compassionate touch.
Santa Rosa – Hoen Avenue
Led by esteemed dermatologist Dr. Stephen Schwartz, this office is known for personalized, attentive care in a conveniently located Santa Rosa neighborhood setting.
Ukiah Office
Opened in 2006, this satellite office was established to better serve patients in northern and coastal California, bringing exceptional dermatology services closer to home.
Healdsburg – Redwood Family Dermatology Laser and Cosmetics Center
Our newest location, this state-of-the-art center specializes in laser treatments, injectables, and aesthetic skin rejuvenation — offering North Bay residents top-tier cosmetic dermatology care.
We also proudly serve the Lakeport area on a part-time basis, where Christine Dalva, FNP, offers expert cosmetic and general dermatology services in a convenient local setting.
